Services For The Screen Printer

The re meshing service we offer is an economical way of re using your old frames when the mesh is torn or has become unusable. We can reapply new mesh to the frame giving you a great new print area. The prices below are for re meshing our stock frame sizes in common mesh counts. Please phone or email for custom frame sizes or other meshes. We can also supply you with mesh and glue if you have the equipment to stretch your own frames. The glue and mesh prices are shown on the equipment page link of this site.

We can print and supply screen positives from your digital artwork. You need to supply us with an individual file for each colour you wish to print. These files should be 100% black on a white background and at size you want to print. If you require registration marks you need to apply them to the original design. If there is also text within the design, bit mapping may lead to the text having a saw tooth edge. The other option is to combine your images/text and keep the bit mapped and vector image information in a single file like a PDF. We can print out in solid black or we can convert the design into half tone dots suitable for whichever mesh count you are using. We print your design on our modified ink jet printer. All the colour cartridges are replaced with a special black opaque cartridge. This makes the film very opaque and stencil making much easier.

If you don’t have the facilities to expose your own screens, we can do it in house for you. You can supply us with your own positives, just make sure they are fully opaque to UV light, or we can print them for you (see above). You can supply your own screens to be stencilled or we can supply to your requirements (see equipment page link) If you supply your own frames, you do not have to clean off the old stencil, as we can do that for you as well (see below). Please specify what type of ink you will be using to make sure we use the correct emulsion. We can expose a frame unto 190 cm x 150 cm outside dimensions.

We offer a comprehensive screen reclaiming service to clean off old stencils, stains and ghost images , etc., to return the mesh as near as possible to its original state. We use our own full strength industrial cleaning products within normal industrial screen cleaning practices. Screen Colour Systems cannot accept responsibility for damaged mesh that may be a result of the cleaning process. This is because we have no control of how old the mesh is, the condition it is in and how it might have been used or abused in the past.

We can colour match samples of wet ink, colour swatches and Pantone references. Please note Pantone references with the letter c after the number are all glossy colours and even plastisol matched inks may lose its gloss on certain fabrics. All water based inks will print with a matt finish and as such cannot be used to match a glossy colour. Customers should consult the u referenced Pantone numbers to choose from. N.B. Colours chosen from a computer screen will always be glossy and cannot be a true representation of the matched ink. If we have match the colour before there is only a Mixing charge.

Each colour matched will have a single matching charge applied, the minimum order is 1 kg but the same charge will be applied if the order is for 1 or 200kgs. Previous colours matched and subsequently re ordered ink will only incur the mixing charge.
